Nick Palmer Director of Policy Cruelty Free International
Dr Nick Palmer is Director of Policy for Cruelty Free International, the only global campaign specialising in the issue of animal testing for cosmetics. Cruelty Free International is involved in discussions with Parliamentarians, regulators and industry on the issue in the EU, USA, China, Japan, Russia, Korea, India, Brazil and many others; Dr Palmer has visited 20 countries in the last two years to study the current regulatory position and influence developments. Dr Palmer was previously a Member of Parliament for 13 years, and before that a senior IT manager for Novartis, the multinational pharmaceutical company. He has a PhD in mathematics and speaks six languages, as well as being the author of three best-selling books on his private interest in computer and board games.
